Move over Greek Gods, the Goddess is here," wrote an Indian magazine when Hotilne was released in 1994. It was the debut single of Anaida, and the first ever from an Indian pop artist. Accompanied by a successful video, the song was later added to Anaida's first album, Love Today Hai Nahi Aasaan, and has re-appeared in The Greatest Hits of Anaida.

Nazuk Nazuk
Oova Oova strikes a chord!

In 1996 Anaida launched- Nazuk Nazuk, a landmark album in the history of Indian pop music. Numbers such as the ever-popular  "Oova Oova" and "Hoo Halla Hoo" set new standards in orchestration and videography, while  the earthy melody of "Chumne Lagi" brought a folk flavour to the Indian pop.

love today hain nahi asaan
The title song of the album with the same name, was one of the earliest hits of Anaida. Like Hotline, the video also showcased Anaida's talent as a dancer equally comfortable in Western and Indian styles. "Love todayÖ." was the first Indian pop video to be choreographed by ace choreographer Saroj Khan.

Chori Chori
A touch of folk

In 1999, Anaida released  a folk album, accompanied by the videos "Oonchi Neechi "Kaachi Kali.""Oonchi Neechi" and  While  remains her own personal favorite among her Hindi songs, she describes the video as "as simple as simple can get."

Fever
Fever increases pulse rate!

Fever - Anaida's English single won her appreciation from the critics as well as fans in 1996.

With amazing ease and versatility, the singer modulated her voice to render the classic track, so different from her Hindi style that one could hardly recognize it as being the same voice.

Diva Single
The Diva opens

Anaida opened the show for Diva Awards in 1996 with a live performance of this single, specially prepared as the title number for the occasion. These were the first music awards ever held in India.

O Malu Malu
The Syrian connection

In 1997 Anaida launched O Malu Malu an Arabic album in collaboration  with Shukri, the Syrian pop singer. The title song, accompanied by a video co-directed by Anaida herself, has remained equally popular in India as well as the Middle East.

Quest
A personal quest

Quest, a maxi-CD, was the first international release from an Indian pop singer. Launched in Greece in 2000, it took three years in the making. "Quest is a personal quest," says Anaida about this album.
